The band would like to wish our new Honorary President Paddy Tipping MP a speedy recovery from his recent heart attack.

The band played at the Arboretum in Nottingham last Sunday Afternoon. The band would like to thank the following who helped out.

The band played last Sunday evening at Darley Bridge Cricket Club. The evening was a great success and raised £408.00 for band funds. The concerts at cricket club carry on till the 9th of September.

The band would like to welcome Chris Tetley who has joined the band on bass from Carlton Training Band. We would like to wish Chris a long and happy stay. Chris makes his debut for the band at Darley Bridge Cricket Club this Sunday evening.

Unfortunatly due to appalling weather the band's engagement at Newstead Abbey for the Nottingham Orthopaedic walk had to be cancelled.

The band are delighted to announce that we have received a £400.00 donation from PWP Building Services who are based on Moor Road Bestwood Village. This donation will help the band to purchase some fleece jackets. Many thanks to PWP for donating such a generous amount of money.

The band would like to thank Joan Langridge mum of our 2nd Baritone player Annette and grandmother of one of our Training Band Bethany for donating £25.00 from the sales of various greeting cards.

The band welcomed Paddy Tipping the local MP for Sherwood on Friday afternoon to the bandroom. Paddy had agreed to come along for the ceremonial handover of our Awards for All cheque. A photographer from the Hucknall Dispatch was present and hopefully the photos will be in the paper soon.

The band are delighted to welcome Miranda Smith who has joined the band on Eb Bass. Miranda used to play for Stourport on Seven Band and Malvern Hills and District. We all wish Miranda a happy and successful time with the band.

The band would like to thank the authorities at St Mark's Church Bestwood Village for inviting us to play at there wonderfully new renvovated church last night. The concert was a huge success with the following players playing solo's Alan Needham, Ian Priest and Chris Satterley. Also our Training Band put on wonderfully entertaining show.
