The band would like to wish good luck to the two Ben's who have now departed the band. Ben Hewlett Davies a member of the band since 2006 has left to go to study Bass Trombone at Birmingham Conservatoire and we wish him good luck and hope to see him back at Christmas. Also goodbye again to our long serving 3rd cornet player Ben Jacklin who has gone to Hull to study to be a Primary School Teacher. We wish them both all the best.

The band played last Sunday at the wedding of Chris Satterley our Euph player and Annette Langridge our long serving 2nd Baritone player. The wedding took place at St George's Church Netherfield, and the band played for a period at the start and the hymns. The band would like to wish them a long and happy future together.

The band would like to wish the Band's Vice President Dave Clarke and his wife Maureen a happy retirement from the Bestwood Village Social Club, and thank them very much for the excellent buffet last Thursday evening.

The band would once again like to thank local councillor Dennis Beeston for his kind donation of £100.00 to band funds. The money comes from a pot of money alllocated to each by Gedling Borough Council.

The band has a few vacancies at present and requires a Solo Euphonium, Front Row Cornet, Kit Percussionist and a 2nd Horn Player. Also anyone looking for a band to join is more than welcome to come along. Also if anyone would like to learn to play a musical instrument or wants to restart playing our Training Band is maybe for you they rehearse on Thursday evenings from 6.45pm till 7.45pm.
